Condition Report

A selection of three diamond and gem-set rings. To include an early 20th century 18ct gold and platinum sapphire and diamond five-stone ring, an early 20th century ruby and diamond cluster ring and an 18ct gold brilliant-cut diamond trefoil dress ring. Estimated total diamond weight 0.25ct. One with hallmarks for 18ct gold. Total weight 8.7gms.

  • Overall condition fair. Surface scratches/ wear, discolouration and dents in keeping with general age and wear.
  • Diamonds fairly well matched.
  • Diamonds fairly bright.

  • Individual size and setting of diamonds prevents accurate colour and clarity assessment.

  • Abrasion visible to the facet edges and facet faces of the sapphires, significant wear visible to the settings.
  • Typical inclusions and some areas of surface abrasion visible to the ruby.
  • Chips visible to many of the diamond points.
  • Some inner stamps are significantly worn.
  • Ring sizes N, T, and k.
