Condition Report

A 1930's silver and enamel part dressing table set, comprising a hand mirror and a pair of clothes brushes, each with bright blue mottled enamel decoration, hallmarked William Comyns & Sons Ltd., London 1932/33. Together with a silver mounted glass scent jar with stopper and a larger glass jar, also with silver mounts, missing stopper. Height of hand mirror measures 10 3/4 inches (27.3 cm). (5).

Purchasing information
    All the pieces display general wear, surface marks and scratches. The silver mounts to the dressing table set are very tarnished with dints and solder repairs. Also a couple of holes starting to appear, especially in the terminal of the hand mirror. The mounts are also a little loose and lifting slightly. Various surface marks and nicks to the blue enamel but it is generally still okay and the colour bright. Some scratches to the mirror plate. Hallmarks a little worn but still legible. The mounts to the clear glass bottles are also heavily tarnished and damaged. Some edge and rim chips to the glass.
