Condition Report

An Edwardian 9ct gold amethyst and split pearl pendant. The pear-shape amethyst, suspended from an oval-shape amethyst within an amethyst and split pearl scrolling garland surround, to the split pearl surmount and later flat curb-link chain. Chain with import marks for Sheffield, 1996. Length of pendant 4.7cms. Length of chain 51cms. Total weight 8gms.

Purchasing information
  • Overall condition fair to good. Some surface scratches/ wear, discolouration and minor dents in keeping with general age and wear.
  • Soft solder visible to surmount, length does not include modern jump ring attachment to surmount loop.
  • Amethyst are a well matched medium purple hue. Typical inclusions.

  • Stones in good condition with minor abrasions.

  • Split pearls fairly well matched, slight dsicolouration, some with slight wear to the outer nacre layers, one cracked.
  • Pendant stamped 9ct.
