Condition Report

A late Victorian 15ct gold split and seed pearl lovers brooch. The split pearl star-set heart with rope-twist lovers-knot surmount, suspended within a rope-twist, ivy leaf and seed pearl bi-colour halo. Diameter 2.4cms. Weight 5.6gms.

  • Overall condition fair to good. Some surface scratches/ wear and slight discolouration in keeping with general age and wear.
  • One split pearl mostly deficient. Glue-like substances slightly visible to mounts.
  • Base metal detachable jump ring and safety chain.
  • Jeweler-type scratch marks to the back of the heart.
  • Stamped 15ct to affixed panel.
