Condition Report

A late Georgian gold, split pearl, and enamel memorial ring, circa 1810. The glazed hair panel, with split pearl surround and black enamel floral shoulders. One split pearl deficient. Hallmarks for Birmingham, partially indistinct. Ring size W. Weight 4.4gms.

Purchasing information
  • Overall condition fair to good. Some surface scratches/ wear, discolouration and minor dents in keeping with general age and wear.
  • Band slightly out of shape.
  • Areas of scratching and localised discolouration to inside of ring.

  • Inscription to inside of band significantly worn, traces of date indicate 1810s, hallmarks also mostly indistinct.

  • Wear to enamel and glass in keeping with age

  • Stones in fair condition with some abrasion and minor nibbles to the girdle and facet edges.
