Condition Report

An early 20th century 9ct gold gem-set spider brooch. The spider, with circular-shape amethyst and rectangular-shape emerald body, to the plain bar. Length 7.7cms. Weight 7.6gms.

Purchasing information
  • Overall condition fair to good. Some surface scratches/ wear, discolouration and minor dents in keeping with general age and wear.
  • Discolouration. File marks to the top of the bar towards the clasp.
  • Amethyst is a dark medium slightly pinky purple hue. The emerald is adark bluish green hue.

  • Amethyst has minor abrasion. Emerald has small chip.
  • Stamped 9, maker's mark CS*FS.
