Condition Report

Three early 20th century gold brooches. To include a 15ct gold circular-shape sapphire and rose-cut diamond horseshoe and foliate bar brooch, a 9ct gold Mizpah double heart-shape panel brooch and a 9ct gold enamel regimental badge with 'Artists Rifles' ribbon. One with hallmarks for Birmingham, 1902. Lengths 4 to 3.3cms. Total weight 9gms.

Purchasing information
  • Overall condition fair to good. Some surface scratches/ wear, discolouration and minor dents in keeping with general age and wear.

  • Two with base metal replacement pins.

  • Sapphires light to medium blue, well saturated, with fair clarity and typical inclusions.

  • Diamonds fairly well matched.

  • Diamonds fairly bright.

  • Individual size and setting of diamonds prevents accurate colour and clarity assessment.

  • Stones in fair condition with some abrasion and minor nibbles to the girdle and facet edges.

  • One stamped 15ct, one stamped 9ct.
