Condition Report

A George III silver three piece tea service comprising teapot, twin-handled sugar basin and cream jug, each of oblong form having shaped gadroon rim above a floral and foliate engraved border, with monogrammed cartouche and lobed detail to the lower body and the whole raised on four ball feet, the teapot with conforming lobed decoration to the hinged lid and ivory insulators to the handle. Hallmarked Thomas Wallis II, London 1808. Teapot length measuring 11 inches (28 cm), gross weight 34.93 ozt (1086.5 grams).

Purchasing information
    The tea service appears in fairly good overall condition, displaying some general wear, surface marks and scratches commensurate with the age and use. Some general tarnishing and residues of polish. Brown staining to interior of teapot. Some minor dints and bumps and knocks to ball feet. Large file marks? to underside of each. One of the fixing pins missing from handle. The hallmarks are mostly clear and legible, the maker's marks on the sugar and cream are partly distorted. Part hallmarks to teapot lid and handle. This item may have export issues, for customers outside of the EU, please note that it is the buyers responsibility to adhere to any import/export requirements.
