Condition Report

A late Victorian silver christening mug of plain form having bright-cut decoration of a bird perched upon a branch, hallmarked Walker & Hall (John Edward Bingham), Sheffield 1887, height measures 3 3/8 inches (8.5 cm). Together with another silver christening mug having textured leaf decoration framing engraved initials and date, Hilliard & Thomason, Birmingham 1899, plus another later example having bright-cut floral sprays framing a vacant shield cartouche, Joseph Gloster Ltd., Birmingham 1946. Gross weight 8.9 ozt (276.8 grams).
