Condition Report

A 1970s 18ct gold opal and diamond cluster ring. The oval opal cabochon, within a brilliant-cut diamond surround. Estimated total diamond weight 2cts, K-tinted colour, SI1-P1 clarity. Hallmarks for Birmingham, 1976. Ring size N. Weight 7.7gms.

Purchasing information
  • Overall condition good. Surface scratches/wear in keeping with general age and wear.
  • Diamonds fairly bright, drawing a slight yellow hue with small inclusions mostly only visible with magnification.

  • The opal is in condition with some light abrasion, scratches and minor nibbles to the surface. Moderate blue and green play-of-colour.

  • Approximate opal dimensions 12.2 by 9.4cms.
