Condition Report

A peridot, split pearl and gem-set pendant. Designed as a rectangular peridot, within a openwork scrolling panel set throughout with split pearls, with green-gem highlights, suspending an oval peridot drop. May be worn as a brooch. Length 3.9cms. Weight 5.1gms.

Purchasing information
  • Overall condition fair to good. Some surface scratches/ wear, discolouration and minor dents in keeping with general age and wear.

  • With removable brooch pin.

  • Peridot bright yellowish-green, well saturated, with good clarity and typical inclusions.

  • Split pearls fairly well matched with mostly creamy-yellow to creamy-white colours, some pink rose and green overtones, with fairly good lustre, some silvery-grey discoloured split pearls can also be seen.

  • Size and setting of smaller green-gems prevents accurate testing and identification.

  • Peridot in fair condition with some abrasion and minor nibbles to the girdle and facet edges.

  • Split pearls in mostly good condition with minor abrasions.

  • Smaller green gems in good to fair condition, with some abrasion and nibbles to facet and girdle edges.
