Condition Report

Three 18ct gold gem-set rings. To include a late Victorian 18ct gold ruby five-stone ring, a similarly aged turquoise three-stone ring and a later sapphire and diamond three-stone ring. One with hallmarks for Birmingham, 1891. One with hallmarks for 18ct gold partially indistinct. Weight 8.8gms.

Purchasing information
  • Overall condition fair to good. Some surface scratches/ wear, discolouration and minor dents in keeping with general age and wear.

  • One ruby loose from the setting.

  • Rubies medium pinkish-red, fairly well saturated, with fair clarity and typical inclusions.

  • Turquoise bright light to medium blue with some greenish-blue patches, well saturated, with good to fair clarity and some typical inclusions.

  • Sapphires light blue, with moderate saturation, with good clarity and typical inclusions.

  • Diamond bright.

  • Estimated diamond weight under 0.10ct.

  • Individual size and setting of diamond prevents accurate colour and clarity assessment.

  • Stones in fair condition with some abrasion and minor nibbles to the girdle and facet edges.

  • Ring sizes N1/2, R, and R1/2.
