Condition Report

A 1940's silver three piece condiment set of octagonal form with stepped bases and blue glass liners, hallmarked Henry Clifford Davis, Birmingham 1947, height of caster measures 3 3/8 inches (8.5 cm). Together with a silver goblet commemorating the Royal Silver Jubilee 1952-77, hallmarked Sheffield 1977, two pairs of sugars tongs hallmarked London 1847 and Sheffield 1918, a silver mounted cake slice with foliate embossed handle and personal inscription to the steel blade, a silver teaspoon and napkin ring, etc. Gross weighable silver 12.5 ozt (389.1 grams).

Purchasing information
    Overall in fair to good condition. The lot displays general surface scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use. Blue liners present, some loss of definition and rubbing to the edges of the condiments and interior bowls of the condiment spoons. The goblet has heavy tarnishing throughout, in need of a polish. engraved with 'Royal Silver Jubilee 1952-77' and monarch's initials E R surmounted by a crown. Steel blade on the cake slice is engraved 'H. W. K. & M. A. K. 7-8-79'. One pair of tongs has an initial 'N' to the end. Napkin ring has a monogrammed cartouche. Hallmarks clear and legible with some minor rubbing to maker's marks.
