A set of four George III silver open salts.

Description

Condition Report

A set of four George III silver open salts, each of oblong form with shaped gadroon rim and raised on four ball feet, with blue glass liners. Hallmarked London 1806, maker's mark very worn but possibly the mark of Abstinando King. Length measuring 3 1/2 inches (9 cm), weight 11.02 ozt (343 grams).

Purchasing information
    All the salts display some general wear, surface marks, scratches and tarnishing. Some minor dints and bumps, especially some to the feet. Two of the salts appear to have various solder repairs around the interior base edges and one in particular appears to have further repairs along seam lines. Other visible seam lines. Likely replacement liners with minor edge nibbles. Hallmarks very worn and some illegible.
