A 1930's silver desk ink stand by Sampson Mordan & Co, the oblong engine-turned form, dual inkwells with hinged covers, flanked by two rotating pen rests (one deficient) and further sunken channel. Hallmarked Sampson Mordan & Co, London 1930. Length measuring 10 3/4 inches (27.5 cm), weight 36.4 ozt (1134 grams).
