Condition Report

A late 19th century diamond and sapphire pendant. Designed as an old-cut diamond, with pear-shape sapphire and similarly-cut diamond cluster petal surround. May be worn as a brooch. Estimated total diamond weight 1.10cts. Length 2.5cms. Weight 6.3gms. With case.

  • Overall condition fair to good. Some surface scratches/ wear, discolouration and minor dents in keeping with general age and wear.
  • Diamond fairly well matched.
  • Diamonds fairly bright.

  • Individual size and setting of diamonds prevents accurate colour and clarity assessment.

  • Sapphire medium light purplish blue, fairly well saturated, with fair clarity and typical inclusions.

  • Sapphires possibly replacements

  • Stones in fair condition with some abrasion and minor nibbles to the girdle and facet edges.
