A sapphire, opal and diamond pendant.

Description

Condition Report

A diamond and gem-set pendant. Of openwork design, set throughout with circular opal cabochons, cushion-shape sapphires and old-cut diamonds, to the late 19th century silver and gold mount. May be worn as a brooch. Estimated total diamond weight 0.45ct. Length 6.4cms. Total weight 13.6gms.

Purchasing information
  • Overall condition fair to good. Some surface scratches/ wear, discolouration and minor dents in keeping with general age and wear.
  • Detachable oval opal collet surmount later added to main pendant mount.
  • May be worn as a brooch.
  • All stones appear to be replacements.
  • Glue residue visible to most opal mount surrounds.
  • Individual size and setting of diamonds prevents accurate colour and clarity assessment.

  • Stones in good to fair condition with some abrasion, light scratches and minor nibbles to the edges.
