Condition Report

ROLEX - a gentleman's Oyster Perpetual Date bracelet watch. Circa 1972. Stainless steel case. Reference 1500, serial 3559456. Signed automatic calibre 1570. Blue dial with baton hour markers, date aperture to three. Fitted to a signed stainless steel Oyster bracelet with Oysterclasp. 34mm. Box

Purchasing information
  • Movement is currently functioning.
  • Movement has scratches, marks and tarnishing commensurate with general wear visible to the naked eye.
  • Dial appears to be in a poor condition with noticeable marks, scratches, tarnishing, some lifting of the laminate.
  • Hands show holes and discolouration to the luminous paint.
  • Glass has scratches and marks.
  • Case shows noticeable scratches, marks and dints. There are some heavy dints to the bezel and pitting to the sides of the case. Serial number may possibly have been redefined.
  • Crown screws down and has noticeable scratches and dinting. Crown does screw down but perhaps not as far down as one would expect. The sides of the crown show very heavy wear.
  • Bracelet has scratches and signs of stretching and twisting to links.
  • Clasp is currently functioning and shows visible scratches and marks.
  • Bracelet measures approximately 17cm including case.

    This lot comes with a box in used condition but no papers.
