Condition Report

A mid Victorian gold mother-of-pearl locket, circa 1870 and 15ct gold longuard chain. The locket, with carved mother-of-pearl front depicting Chinese warriors amongst houses and trees and scrolling foliate engraved reverse, together with a 15ct gold curb-link longuard chain. Length of locket 5.3cms. Length of longuard 144cms. Weight of longuard 25.1gms. Total weight 49gms.

Purchasing information
  • Overall condition good. Some surface scratches in keeping with general age and wear.
  • General slight disclouration.
  • Locket closes securely.
  • Glass to both sides of the locket.
  • One of the glass panels is significantly chipped.
  • Length of locket included surmount loop, length of main panel 5cms.
  • Locket engraved to the reverse 'Annie Milburn, 1872'.
  • Mother-of-pearl with minor wear only.
  • Chain stamped 15c to lobster clasp.
