A late Victorian gold, garnet and split-pearl brooch. The oval garnet cabochon, with split pearl arc, foliate and bead accent geometric surround, suspending a snake-link swag. Length 5cms. Weight 15.6gms.

Purchasing information- Overall condition fair to good. Some surface scratches/ wear, slight discolouration and minor dents in keeping with general age and wear.
- Replacement clasp.
- Uneven small surface blemishes, probable re-gilt.
- Split pearl panels slightly loose at one end.
- Garnet probably foil back, garnet appears a deep slightly purplish red hue, slight eye visible inclusions, some surface reaching. Minor abrasion.
