Condition Report

A Wedgwood seed pearl and diamond brooch. The rectangular jasperware panel, depicting a classical scene, with rose-cut diamond and seed pearl bow surrounds and similarly-set drop. Length 4.2cms. Weight 12gms.

Purchasing information
  • Overall condition good. Minor surface scratches/wear in keeping with general age and wear.
  • Diamonds well matched.
  • Diamonds fairly bright.

  • Diamond show small light and dark coloured inclusions under magnification.

  • Individual size and setting of diamonds prevents accurate colour and clarity assessment.

  • Seed pearls slighty yellowish-white with pink overtones and good to fair lustre.

  • Stones in good condition with minor abrasions.

  • Brooch panel with applied panel marked "PT".
  • Brooch pin stamped 18ct.

  • Without the aid of laboratory equipment, it has not been possible to determine if these seed pearls are from a fresh or saltwater source, or if they are natural or cultured
