A pair of Edwardian silver candlesticks, each having a filled oval base with reeded and fluted borders and rising to an openwork stem of lyre form, the vase shape socket and removable oval nozzle also with fluted and reeded decoration. Hallmarked Barker Brothers, Birmingham 1903 and 1905. Height with nozzle measures 8 3/4 inches (22.2 cm).

Please note: When placing absentee bids, your bids will be rounded up to the nearest bid increment. For more information click the 'Important Notices for Purchasers' button above.

Purchasing information
Both candlesticks display general wear, tarnishing, surface marks and scratches. Some minor dints and bumps. One of the candlesticks leans and has repairs around the base of the lyre stem and the top of one of the scrolls has separated from the centre section. The neck of the nozzle also appears shorter than the neck of the other nozzle. The other candlestick has a larger dent to the base rim. Both wobble a little and require attention to the undersides and filling of the bases. Some rubbing to hallmarks but still legible. Part hallmarks to nozzles.
