Condition Report

ROLEX - a lady's Oyster Perpetual Datejust bracelet watch. Circa 1997. 18ct yellow gold case with fluted bezel. Reference 79178, serial U196967. Signed automatic calibre 2235 with quick date set. White dial with baton hour markers, date aperture to three. Fitted to a signed 18ct yellow gold President bracelet with Crownclasp. 26mm. Papers.

Purchasing information
  • Movement is currently functioning.
  • Movement appears to be in a generally good condition with little sign of previous intervention when viewed under a 4x loupe.
  • Dial appears to be in a generally good condition with no marks visible when viewed under a 4x loupe.
  • Hands show marks and tarnishing when viewed under a x4 loupe.
  • Glass has marks and chips to the edge.
  • Case shows some light scratches and dints. Case appears to have been repolished in the past.
  • Crown screws down and has scratches and dinting.
  • Bracelet has scratches, marks and noticeable stretching to links. Bracelet appears to have been repolished in the past. Spring bar has deteriorated resulting in it being unable to remove to confirm the reference number, however the serial number matches the paperwork.
  • Clasp is currently functioning and shows light scratches and marks.

  • Bracelet measures approximately 16cm including case.

    Lot to include spare champagne dial, date wheel and hands. Papers matched the serial number dated 1-1-2001. Lot also includes a service guarantee dated 11/Sept/08.
