Condition Report

A 19th century Japanese shakudo locket. Of oval outline, one panel depicting a ship and Mt. Fuji, the other with partridge amongst flowers and silver moon, each within a geometric surround. Length 4cms.

Purchasing information
  • Overall condition fair. Some surface scratches/ wear, discolouration and minor dents in keeping with general age and wear.
  • Locket does not close securely.
  • Green discolouration near the hinge.
  • Moderate wear to the gold and silver highlights.
  • Stated length includes surmount. Length of oval sides 2.8cms.
  • One internal side of locket is glazed.
