A diamond and opal dress ring.

Condition Report

A diamond and opal dress ring. The marquise-shape textured panel, with old-cut diamond and vari-shape opal cabochon collets, to the bifurcated sides. One opal cracked. Estimated total diamond weight 1.70cts, H-I colour, SI2-P1 clarity. Ring size Q1/2. Weight 9.7gms.

Purchasing information
  • Overall condition fair to good. Some surface scratches/ wear, discolouration and minor dents in keeping with general age and wear.
  • Small dents to band, slightly out of round.
  • Diamonds fairly well matched.
  • Scattered, various inclusions.
  • Opals fairly well matched with fair to good play-of-colour, predominantly green hues.
  • Most with moderate abrasion, one pear-shape opal with two cracks and associated chips.
  • Foreign marks to outside of band, worn, indistinct.
  • Length of ring head 2.7cms.
