Condition Report

A split pearl and diamond scarab beetle brooch. The pave-set split pearl and rose-cut diamond body, with rose-cut diamond limbs and pink gem cabochon eyes. Length 4.6cms. Weight 11.7gms.

Purchasing information
  • Overall condition fair. Surface scratches/ wear, discolouration and dents in keeping with general age and wear.
  • Evidence of repair to some limbs.
  • Some replacement gems.
  • Reverse of beetle body with glazed panel.
  • Cut and setting of rose-cut diamonds prevents total carat weight estimation.
  • Split pearls with cream body colour, good lustre and some with discolouration.
  • Width 2.8cms.
