Condition Report

A late Victorian 15ct gold diamond brooch and a later 15ct gold aquamarine brooch. The first designed as an old-cut diamond star panel, within a floral and foliate surround and rope-twist border, the second designed as a circular-shape aquamarine, with asymmetric crossover bar. Estimated total diamond weight 0.10ct. Lengths 4.9 and 6.1cms. Weight 11.9gms.

  • Light coloured inclusions can be seen easily under magnification.

  • Individual size and setting of diamonds prevents accurate colour and clarity assessment.

  • Aquamarine light slightly greenish-blue, fairly well saturated, with good to fair clarity and typical inclusions visible under magnification.

  • Aquamarine in good condition with minor abrasions.

  • Both stamped 15ct.
