Condition Report
A natural saltwater pearl single-strand necklace, with sapphire and diamond clasp. Comprising 251 graduated irregular-shape natural saltwater pearls measuring 8.2 to 3.5mms, to the circular-shape sapphire, old-cut diamond and single replacement blue paste kite-shape clasp. With report 5775-2707, dated 31st July 2015, from GCS, stating natural saltwater pearls, no treatment. Length 137cms.

Purchasing information- Overall condition mostly good. Some surface scratches/wear in keeping with general age and wear. Some pearls in fair to poor condition, with surface damage to areas of nacre a few natural pearls show cracks.
- One blue stone in the clasp is a blue paste replacement.
- Thread has stretched, with movement to some natural pearls.
- Re-stringing recommended.
- Some possibly base metal jump-rings either side of the clasp.

- Diamonds well matched.
- Diamonds bright.
- Light and dark coloured inclusions can be seen to the diamonds under magnification.
- Individual size and setting of diamonds prevents accurate colour and clarity assessment.
- Sapphires fairly dark blue, well saturated, with fair clarity and typical inclusions.
- Blue paste medium to light blue, with fair saturation and obvious typical inclusions and a surface reaching fracture.
- Sapphires in fair condition with some abrasion and minor nibbles to the girdle and facet edges.
- Paste in poor condition, with significant abrasions and small nibbles to the facet edges.
