Condition Report

Two early 19th century garnet and seed pearl pieces. The brooch of rectangular outline, the circular garnet surround, to the central rectangular glazed panel with seed pearl border, the ring a flower-shape cluster of garnets and split pearls, to the grooved bands. Brooch with one replacement gem. Length 2.2cms. Ring size R 1/2. Weight 6.3gms.

Purchasing information
    The condition of this lot is fair to poor. Both items of jewellery have repair evident, with visible soft solder to the inner band and back of the brooch. The brooch has some light scratches and chips. The replacement stone to the brooch is faceted and may be a paste. One split pearl is a replacement and poorly matched. Condition reports are provided as a guide only and we recommend you inspect each lot in order to satisfy yourself as to their condition.
