Condition Report

An Edwardian gold, diamond split pearl and enamel pansy brooch. The circular-cut diamond, within a stepped series of enamel and split pearl petals. AF. Estimated diamond weight 0.35ct, H-I colour, VS2-SI1 clarity. Length 2.7cms. Weight 10.9gms.

  • Overall condition fair. Some surface scratches/ wear, discolouration and minor dents in keeping with general age and wear.
  • Repair to the enamel.
  • Replacement clasp.
  • Hinged loop to reverse, may be worn as a pendant.
  • Diamond graded within the limitations of the mount.
  • One split pearl deficient.
  • Split pearls fairly well matched.
  • Engraved to reverse with initials and date 2-1-'05.
