A sapphire and split pearl horseshoe pendant. The oval-shape pink sapphire, within a graduated split pearl horseshoe surround, suspended from an integral 9ct gold trace-link chain. Chain with hallmarks for Sheffield. Length of pendant 1.7cms. Length of chain 45cms. Total weight 4.1gms.

Purchasing information- Overall condition fair to good. Some surface scratches/ wear, discolouration and minor dents in keeping with general age and wear.
- Pendant section believed made from old components.
- Pendant is converted, possibly from a brooch.
- Chain is a later addition.
- Wear to gilt finish and slight acid discolouration to the pendant.
- Split pearls fairly well matched, slight discolouration.
- Sapphire is a medium pink hue, fairly well saturated, with good clarity and typical inclusions.
- Stones in good condition with minor abrasions.
- Pendant stamped 20, maker's mark CS.
