Condition Report

LOUIS VUITTON - a 1920s hard suitcase. Featuring the original hand stencilled monogram canvas exterior with a blue and white painted central identity stripe and treated leather trim, brass hardware, to include protective corner guards, maker's classic S-lock central front fastening reinforced on either side with two latches, with a rigid looping leather handle, washable interior lining and a removable interior tray with support straps. Deficient of key. Measuring 21.5 by 46 by 75.5cms.

Purchasing information
    The suitcase is in very good overall condition for its age showing signs of general use. The exterior painted canvas holds good colour with a scattering of impression marks and scratches from use. The blue and white identity stripe shows fading and chipping. There is a group of scuffs to the canvas on the top, left of the handle and some smaller scuffs overall. The leather trim holds good colour with a heavy scattering of scuffs, scratches and impression marks with the most damage to the bottom edge. The handle is in good condition with scuffing the the side and wear to the attaching points. The brass metalwork is lightly tarnishes with some small scratches and dints, all fastenings are fully working. The interior is in very good condition for its age, with fading to the fabric with some faint dark marks and scattering of faint brown dots and a musty odour. Serial number: 80971_ the last number is possibly a 2. Condition reports are offered as a guide only and we highly recommend inspecting any lot to satisfy yourself as to its condition.
