Condition Report

A Burma star sapphire and diamond ring. The circular star sapphire cabochon, weighing 52.13cts, with baguette-cut diamond stepped sides. With report CDC 1706157, dated 14th June 2017, from C. Dunaigre, stating Burma (Myanmar) origin, no heat. Estimated total diamond weight 0.30ct. Ring size M. Weight 17.5gms.

  • Overall condition fair. Surface scratches/ wear, discolouration and dents in keeping with general age and wear.

  • Asterism effect can be seen using a fibre optic light source. Six ray star can be seen

  • Sapphire grayish blue is opaque, with a number of inclusions that can be seen with ease to the unaided eye

  • Diamond fairly well matched.
  • Diamonds fairly bright, with no obvious inlcusions.

  • Individual size and setting of diamonds prevents accurate colour and clarity assessment.
