Condition Report

A pair of late Victorian gold chrysoberyl earrings. Each designed as a foliate bead, suspended from a vari-shape chrysoberyl and scrolling foliate panel. to the similarly-designed surmount. Length 5.6cms. Weight 7.4gms.

  • Overall condition fair. Some surface scratches/ wear, and dents in keeping with general age and wear.

  • Chrysoberyls are in closed back settings and appear a medium yellowish green, well saturated, with good clarity and typical inclusions.

  • Chrysoberyls in good condition with minor abrasions.

  • Hook fittings for pierced ears.
