Condition Report

A gold gem-set Art Nouveau brooch. The cultured pearl, measuring 7.4mms, with rose-cut diamond collet accent, stylised rose and foliate openwork sides. Length 6.8cms. Weight 8gms.

  • Overall condition fair. Surface scratches/ wear, discolouration and dents in keeping with general age and wear.
  • Pitting to metalwork.
  • Cut and setting of rose-cut diamonds prevents total carat weight estimation.
  • Individual size and setting of diamonds prevents accurate colour and clarity assessment.

  • Cultured pearl with pink body colour and uneven surface.
  • Cultured pearl not spherical.
  • French assay marks to pin.
