Condition Report

A late Victorian silver mounted claret jug, the clear glass square shaped body with star-cut base, rising to a cylindrical neck with silver collar and flat top hinged lid and handle. Hallmarked Hukin & Heath (John Thomas Heath & John Hartshorne Middleton), Birmingham 1890. Height measuring 6 6/8 inches (17.2 cm).

Purchasing information
    In good condition, the lot displays general surface scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use. Slight gap between the bottom of the handle and the glass body. The interior of the neck appears to have been painted white between the glass and the collar. The glass has been crudely cut around the edge of the spout. The flat top handle does not sit flush. Hallmarks clear and legible, partial hallmarks to the lid.
