A rare early 19th century commemorative pressed treen box, by Obadiah Westwood of Birmingham. The circular push-on cover depicting two Napoleonic Wars veterans smoking clay 'Churchwarden' pipes in a tavern, captioned around edge VICTORY TRAFALGAR WATERLOO / 21. OCTOBER 1805 / 18. JUNE 1815, and signed 'WESTWOOD' to the stool leg, 2.75", (7cm) diameter.

    Old radial crack from centre of base which extends to rim of body - cover unaffected. Otherwise good colour and crisp relief.
