Condition Report
A mid 20th century diamond and ruby brooch. The circular-shape ruby foliate spray, with vari-cut diamond openwork leaf and ribbon. Estimated total diamond weight 2cts. Length 6cms. Weight 17.6gms.

Purchasing information- Overall condition fair. Some surface scratches/ wear, discolouration and dents in keeping with general age and wear.
- Significant alterations and areas of repair, areas of soft solder.
- Believed to have once been from a larger item of jewellery, ruby section not original to diamond section.
- Localised discolouration and evidence of repair near the clasp.
- Pin bent.
- Two diamonds deficient.
- Diamonds fairly bright.
- Individual size and setting of diamonds prevents accurate colour and clarity assessment.
- Rubies in fair condition with some abrasion and minor nibbles to the girdle and facet edges.
- Not all rubies tested, some possibly synthetic.
