Condition Report

A late Victorian 18ct gold long guard chain, with locket slider, circa 1870. The circular-shape slider with engraved and polished floral motif and glazed reverse, suspended on a snake-link chain, with similarly-designed tassel terminal. Length 112cms. Weight 57.1gms.

Purchasing information

  • Overall condition very good. Some surface scratches and minor discolouration in keeping with minimal wear.


  • Diameter of slider 1.9cms.

  • Locket slider front and tassel cap with identical design.

  • Stated length does not include tassel terminal, length 4.2cms.

  • Lobster clasp stamped patent, poorly stuck.
