A mid 19th century silver and gold, cat's-eye chrysoberyl and diamond brooch. Comprising an old-cut diamond line, with graduated oval and marquise-shape cat's-eye chrysoberyl cabochon and old-cut diamond cluster terminals. Estimated total diamond weight 1.50cts. Length 6.1cms. Weight 10.2gms.

Purchasing information- Overall condition good. Some surface scratches/ wear, discolouration and minor dents in keeping with general age and wear.
- Later French re-strike marks to the pin and clasp.
- Glased panel to reverse of smaller cluster, with small lock of hair contained within.
- Diamonds bright and well matched.
- Individual size and setting of diamonds prevents accurate colour and clarity assessment.
- Chrysoberyl are fairly well matched with olive green hues. The smaller gem has a more focused eye effect, the larger gem has some eye visible inclusions to one side.
