A cultured pearl single-strand necklace, with late Victorian 14ct gold diamond clasp.

Condition Report

A cultured pearl single-strand necklace. Comprising a strand of forty-nine cultured pearls, measuring approximately 7.5 to 7mms, with early Victorian gold old-cut diamond cluster clasp. Estimated total diamond weight 0.80ct. Length 45cms.

Purchasing information

  • Overall condition good. Surface scratches in keeping with general age and wear.

  • Diamonds fairly well matched.

  • Diamonds bright.

  • Individual size and setting of diamonds prevents accurate colour and clarity assessment.

  • Diamonds have small chips, feathers and dark inclusions some of which are surface reaching.

  • Cultured pearls are a creamy white hue, with greenish overtones and are in good to fair condition with some pitting and minor nacre loss.

  • Length of clasp 1cm.
