Condition Report
A pair of late 19th century German figures, the first example modelled as a male figure resting against the trunk of a tree, dressed in blue overcoat and pink breeches, with lamb resting at his feet, the second example modelled as a woman in pink floral dress with blue shawl, holding bird cage in one hand and with sheep lying by her feet, each upon a naturalistic base with gilt scroll detail, crossed swords mark to base, 10" (25.5cm) high.

Purchasing information-
Male figure with damage to one hand, missing figures, cracks to glaze and some fingers reattached, possibly missing item from hand. The other hand has been broken and reglued, wheat in hand cracked and damaged. Small chip to edge of tree trunk, green foliage to side of trunk with crude overpainting which has smudged on to back of breeches, possible loss to foliage. Lamb with possible restoration to one ear and front feet. Base has repainted patch or possible infill to front edge.
Female figure head has been detached and reglued, loss to edge of sleeve of arm holding bird cage, hand holding bird cage has been damaged, visible glue residue to fingers and bird cage finial, and overpainting or possible infill to one finger, front of bird cage door broken and missing, and crack to side of bird cage. Further loss to lower edge of white over skirt, glue reside to edge of other white sleeve, and rubbing to glaze on edge of blue shawl at back of figure. Lamb with crude restoration to ear and front leg. Tree behind figure with losses, broken in middle section and crudely repaired and painted. Base has small area of discolouration and roughness to glaze beneath damaged sheep's leg.
