A ruby and diamond dress ring.

Condition Report

A ruby and diamond dress ring. Of asymmetric design, the alternately-set, calibre-cut ruby and graduated brilliant-cut diamond chevrons, to the tapered band. Estimated total diamond weight 0.60ct. Ring size J1/2. Weight 7.2gms.

Purchasing information
  • Overall condition good to fair. Some surface scratches/ discolouration in keeping with general wear.
  • Band shows evidence of repair/ resize, solder line and pitting marks visible.
  • Diamonds well matched.
  • Diamonds fairly bright.

  • Individual size and setting of diamonds prevents accurate colour and clarity assessment.

  • Some diamonds drawing slightly more colour tint than others.
  • Diamonds with small inclusions.
  • Rubies are well matched, medium red, well saturated, with fair clarity and typical inclusions.

  • Rubies are in good to fair condition with some abrasion and nibbles to the girdle and facet edges, few have small nicks, two noticably chipped.

  • Width at widest 8mms.
