Condition Report

A Sri Lankan sapphire and diamond cluster ring. The cushion-shape sapphire collet, with brilliant-cut diamond collet scalloped surround. Verbal from GCS, stating Sri Lanka, no heat. Estimated dimensions of sapphire 8.7 by 7.2 by 5.9mms. Estimated total diamond weight 1ct. Ring size O. Weight 5gms.

Purchasing information
  • Overall condition good. Some surface scratches and minor dents in keeping with general age and wear.
  • Band slightly off round.
  • Diamonds bright and well matched.
  • Individual size and setting of diamonds prevents accurate colour and clarity assessment.

  • Diamonds with minor to significant, light inclusions. Some surface reaching inclusions.
  • One diamond chipped under a claw.
  • The sapphire is a deep medium slightly violetish blue hue. Large light fingerprint inclusions and small surface reaching cavity. Slight window effect.
  • Sapphire with nicks and facet-edge abrasion.
  • Length of ring head 1.6cms.
