A mid 20th century sapphire and diamond bracelet and matching brooch.

Condition Report

A mid 20th century sapphire and diamond bracelet. Designed as an alternating series of circular-shape sapphire quatrefoil and brilliant-cut diamond spacers, atop a knife-edge bar and bead panel bracelet, with matching brooch. Estimated total diamond weight 0.25ct. Length of bracelet 16.5cms. Length of brooch 2cms. Weight 60.6gms.

Purchasing information
  • Overall condition good. Some surface scratches/wear in keeping with general age and wear.
  • Some possible gem replacements.
  • Possibly brooch has been converted from the bracelet link. The cluster accent is a later addition.
  • Diamonds fairly well matched and bright.

  • Individual size and setting of diamonds prevents accurate colour and clarity assessment.
  • Diamond on the brooch has more of a yellow tint than other diamonds.
  • Diamonds have few, minor scattered inclusions.

  • Sapphires are a fairly well matched, violetish blue hue. Slight variation in tone and saturation.
  • Sapphires in good condition with small nibbles and nicks.

  • Stamped '750, CM XX' to bracelet.
  • Width (at widest) 14.1mms.
