Condition Report

A 1970's citrine and emerald brooch. Designed as an owl, with oval-shape citrine body and emerald cabochon eyes, perched atop a textured branch. Estimated dimensions of citrine 24 by 18.2 by 13.8mms. Length 3.9cms. Weight 22.6gms.

  • Overall condition good. Surface scratches/wear in keeping with general age and wear.
  • Citrine is an orange hue, well saturated, with good clarity.

  • Citrine in good condition with minor surface scratches, nibbles to the girdle and facet edges.

  • Emeralds in good condition with light abrasions and typical clarity, visible inclusions.
  • Small base metal clip clasp component, broken to one side, currently not effecting the durability of the overall piece.
