Condition Report

A late Victorian 18ct gold enamel sovereign case. Of circular outline, with blue and white enamel monogram motif, opening to reveal an engine-turned push piece. Hallmarks for London, 1897. Maker's marks WGJL. Length 4.5cms. Weight 24.8gms.

Purchasing information
  • Overall condition fair. Surface scratches/ wear, discolouration and dents in keeping with general age and wear.
  • Release button to surmount is stiff, not functioning well.
  • With engraving to reverse, which appears to read 'From "Mr Heather" Christmas 1897'.
  • Enamel in poor condition with several areas deficient.
