Condition Report

An 18ct gold opal and diamond cluster ring. The oval opal cabochon, with old-cut diamond surround and openwork shoulders. Opal weight 1ct. Estimated total diamond weight 0.50ct. French assay marks. Ring size N. Weight 3.1gms.

  • Overall condition good. Minor surface scratches/wear in keeping with general age and wear.
  • Diamond fairly well matched, one single-cut.
  • Diamonds fairly bright.

  • Individual size and setting of diamonds prevents accurate colour and clarity assessment.

  • Diamonds with some moderate to significant inclusions, some surface reaching.
  • Opal has a yellowish body colour, with good play of colour displaying a range of hues.

  • Opal in good condition with some abrasions.

  • Length of ring head 1.5cms.
