Condition Report

A late Victorian gold enamel and split pearl memorial ring. The black enamel dome with split pearl star-set highlight, atop a similarly-enamelled panel with split pearl surround, to the glazed reverse. Ring size R1/2. Weight 6.2gms.

  • Overall condition fair to good. Some surface scratches/ wear, discolouration and minor dents in keeping with general age and wear.
  • Glue residue visible near some settings.
  • Glazed panel reverse in good condition.
  • Enamel is in fair condition, with some chips and nicks, some areas have been re-enamelled.
  • Split pearls are in fair condition with some abrasion and minor nibbles.
