Condition Report

An early 20th century gold cultured pearl and gem-set necklace. The cultured freshwater pearl drop, suspended from an openwork bird panel, with circular-shape emerald and red gem cabochon highlights, to the cultured pearl sides and integral belcher-link chain. Length 42cms. Weight 3.8gms.

Purchasing information
  • Overall condition good. Minor surface scratches/wear in keeping with general age and wear.
  • All stones in good to fair condition with some abrasion and minor nibbles to the girdle and facet edges.

  • Cultured pearls are a creamy white colour, with rose and greenish overtones, in good condition.
  • Without the aid of laboratory equipment, it has not been possible to determine if the side cultured pearls are from a fresh or saltwater source.
